Employer Outreach Coordinators, goDCgo Employer Services Program (Ref: USPL17)

Location: Washington DC

Steer Davies Gleave is looking for two talented and motivated individuals with either a transportation planning or marketing background to support Employer Services for goDCgo which is a program of our client, the District Department of Transportation.

These positions will support DDOT’s goDCgo program, responsible for promoting the use of all sustainable transportation modes in the city through a coordinated multi-layered program. The program aims to reduce the number of drive-alone trips in Washington, encouraging commuters, residents and visitors to the District to bike, walk, carpool, telework and use public transit. The role of the Employer Outreach Coordinators is to engage directly with employers, to implement and improve existing transportation benefits programs for their employees and to sell Capital Bikeshare corporate memberships.

These positions are primarily based in DDOT’s offices in Downtown DC, but a significant portion of time is expected to be spent out of the office visiting employers.

Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Duration: Starts October 2nd, ends July 31, 2018, with potential for extension

Qualifications and experience

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma related to transportation, urban planning, marketing or public relations.
  • Experience working in the public, private or non-profit sector in a transportation or marketing related field.
  • Skills and experience in transportation planning concepts and the benefits of multi-modal transportation options and/or in sales and marketing and approaches for engaging business managers and employees.
  • The ideal candidate will:
  •   be self-motivated, thrive in a small team environment, and be willing to take on new challenges;
  •   be flexible in approaching employers/clients and adapt to different circumstances to achieve results;
  •   be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks/employers at the same time; and
  •   have excellent oral and written communication skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage with employers in-person, via email and phone to solicit participation in the goDCgo program.
  • Use motivational and engagement strategies to entice employers to participate in an ongoing manner.
  • Develop excellent client relationships to keep employers interested and involved, from new to established
  • Coordinate with other Employer Services team members and the Program Director to ensure a high
    quality of outreach and engagement is provided to all employer clients.
  • Host employer events educating employers on the business and employee benefits of transportation
  • Promote and sell Capital Bikeshare Corporate Membership to employers.
  • Draft monthly newsletter content.
  • Track and manage employer clients via Sugar customer relationship management software.
  • Help plan and implement the annual goDCgo Ambassador Awards program.
  • Use Asana project management software to manage individual and team tasks.

Salary commensurate with experience, 4 weeks of vacation, consideration for annual bonuses, Medical/dental/vision plan, 401k Plan and match.
